Moreover , as Rhode Islanders , we recognize that all of us together have a role to play in adding 1 million hours of out of school learning time per year across our state to help reach out goal of improving educational outcomes.
Police Department Accreditation Initiative
About RIPAC: The mission of the Rhode Island Police Accreditation Commission is to enhance the delivery of law enforcement services through a voluntary accreditation program which fosters adherence to industry recognized best practices. The Commission strives to improve the ability of law enforcement agencies to deliver contemporary and professional law enforcement services to the communities they serve instilling public trust and confidence. Mental Health, Substance Use Prevention and Marginalized Population Supports
The East Greenwich Substance Use Prevention & Mental Health Program is presently in its 40th year of operations. Under the guidance of Bob Houghtaling, M.Ed., this initiative offers prevention, assessment, referral, aftercare and leadership development services, to both youth and adults. In addition, significant emphasis is placed on creating services which promote diversity and support to marginalized populations.

Master Planning Process and School Construction Phase
Town-wide School Building Master Planning Process evaluating district-wide facility needs, grade alignments, and opportunities for new and rehabilitated school facilities inclusive of the possibility of consolidation and repurposing of older district buildings.

Waterfront Study - Greenwich Cove
The Town is in the final stages of a comprehensive waterfront study of the shoreline area adjacent to East Greenwich Cove. The plan aims to assess the current conditions and recommend improvements to enhance the waterfront area in an effort to be more resilient, increase public access, and improve walkability.

American Rescue Plan Act - Local Investment Plan
Under the United States American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021, the Town is issued $3.92 million in recovery funds to replace lost revenues and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
